SLM-Works

The SLM foundry for serious enterprises

SLM-Works helps mid-market and enterprise teams move from generic LLM pilots to private, task-specific small language models you can run in your VPC or on-prem - owned, compressed, and operated for production workloads.

We are independent of any single cloud LLM vendor. Engagements combine model design, distillation and compression, integration, and handover so your data stays under your controls.

How we work with enterprise teams

Engagements are structured in clear phases with shared documentation, security checkpoints, and room for your security / legal teams to review integrations before production traffic.

  1. Discover & scope

Joint workshops on use cases, data boundaries, latency targets, and compliance constraints. We agree success metrics before build.

  2. Design & train

Architecture choices, dataset strategy, and training or adaptation plans aligned with your infra - no surprise external data flows.

  3. Compress & validate

Distillation and quantization where it makes sense; offline and staged evaluations against your acceptance criteria.

  4. Deploy & own

Rollout beside your systems, observability hooks, and documentation so your team can operate and extend the SLM.

Security review, DPAs, and region-specific residency terms are scoped per customer - we do not describe a one-size-fits-all compliance certification here.

Principles

  • Sovereignty first

Your data and weights stay in boundaries you define - we align architecture to residency and access rules early.

  • Engineering honesty

We say when an SLM is not the right tool, when quality needs more data, or when latency targets require different hardware.

  • Transferable ownership

You should be able to run and evolve the system without permanent dependency on a single vendor team.
